This year Glenn formed a unique bond with the people of Israel and Jewish people all around the world when he led the charge to stand with the people who have been the most persecuted in all of history. Run out of cities and countries time after time and facing another disturbing series of developments revealing the old hatreds are rising once again - Glenn was moved to make a declaration to the world: we said never again and we want to show we meant it. How bad were the old hatreds? Glenn toured Auschwitz prior to the Restoring Courage events in Israel and received a powerful reminder of just how real evil is. Check out Glenn's full travel blog HERE. Could it happen again? The unrest in the Middle East is laced with toxic brew of anti-Semitism and violence. With the political elites having chosen their side -- the Palestinians - Glenn wanted Israel to know that they are not alone. Glenn also wanted to bring awareness to the United States that although Israel is some 6,000 miles away, our fates are uniquely intertwined. After Restoring Honor last year in Washington DC, where hundreds of thousands came to the Mall in DC to express their desire for America to experience another revival, Glenn truly thought he'd never do another event this large ever again. He was wrong, clearly, as he ended up doing Restoring Courage in Israel this year. Again, Glenn thought that was the last time he'd do an event on that scale. And once again, he was wrong. Glenn announced exciting plans for July 2012 - a three day event in Dallas, Texas called Restoring Love. Americans came together in DC back in 2009 to show they wanted people of Honor. Thousands stood with Israel to show they were ready to stand with Courage. Coming July, Glenn hopes that once again hundreds of thousands will flock to Dallas to show they are ready to WALK. To be the hands and feet that will lift this country out of stagnancy. If you really believe government is NOT the answer - then YOU must be the answer instead. Can't have it both ways. Glenn also announced Mercury One, which is the core of everything Glenn Beck will do from here on out. Mercury One is the charity arm (501 c3 pending) of Mercury Radio Arts - but it is really the heart of the company. Mercury One's mission statement is, "To inspire, organize and mobilize individuals to improve the human condition physically, emotionally and spiritually with malice towards none and charity for all." We are our brother's keeper. We are to care for those who cannot care for themselves. We were not meant to hand that task off to some giant bureaucracy and then go about our merry way eating Doritos and playing video games. We were meant to be the hands and feet.
