The obvious answer is that his plea for companies to 'step up and start hiring' rings hollow when he simultaneously raises taxes on companies, making hiring harder to do. But Obama's biggest excuse? All that damn technology - like ATMs – they are making companies too efficient! Yes, that is an actual argument from the President of the United States.
