With Newt performing so well in the debates, which has translated into a primary victory in South Carolina, many of Glenn's casual fans have wondered why he has been so thorough in his criticism of the former Speaker of the House. Glenn spent some time analyzing a heated exchange between Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. Mitt attacked Newt for his connections to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, while Newt decided to go after Mitt for making money in the private sector. Clearly, one of these arguments adhered to conservative principles and one showed a man willing to pocket thousands from a corrupt, bloated, government organization. Wonder who won that exchange?
